State-Dependent Depot Policies

چکیده

We consider a two-echelon inventory system where the exogenous demands occur only at the retailer locations, and the demand rates are functions of an underlying continuoustime Markov chain. This underlying process may represent, for example, general economic conditions, the number of active users in the system, etcetera. Each retailer location follows a base-stock policy that is independent of the process. However, the warehouse (central depot) follows a state-dependent base-stock policy. We develop a procedure to compute the exact steady-state customer-delay distribution for both the warehouse and the retailer locations.

Mixed Integer Programming Model for open Vehicle Routing Problem with Fleet and driver Scheduling Considering Delivery and Pick-Up Simultaneously

Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a key element of many logistic systems which involve routing and scheduling of vehicles from a depot to a set of customers node. This is a combinatorial optimization problem with the objective to find an optimal set of routes used by a fleet of vehicles to serve a set of customers It is required that these vehicles return to the depot after s erving customers’ d...

Development of Model and Algorithm for Depot Balancing Multi-Depot Vehicle Scheduling Problem Considering Depot Balancing

The main of multi-depot vehicle scheduling problem (MDVSP) is to schedule the timetabled trips using limited resources, optimally. The problem is very important in the management of the transportation systems. One of the most useful ways to better manage these systems is to consider the real conditions including depot balancing constraints. To normalize the number of vehicles departed from each...
